Paul and Neil

Paul was always the stable guy --- the one who held all the other Russians together when things weren't going well for them. He's also been here the longest --- grew up in LA.

Neil was our neighbor downstairs. The friendliest and most social neighbor we ever had. He also plays guitar, and in fact gave us the acoustic guitar you see in some of the pictures. He's also a computer nerd of the TeX mathematical school. He's from Scotland but grew up in Florida.

Neil has moved back and forth to Japan several times as engineering jobs have come up, along with his wife Misako from Japan. he has a daughter Fiona who doesn't speak much English, but she can rattle off Japanese with the other kids easily now. He calls her hybrid language "Fionese".

Now he's back in the States and looking for a job in a university or community college as a mathematics teacher . Any offers?
