Red Square #2

Lenin's tomb. The letters at the top say L-E-N-I-N. I emphatically did not go in --- I had no desire to see the person who robbed contemporary Russians of their past, present and future. The shenanigans the current Russian government and business leaders play, as I learned on this trip, go all the way back to Lenin. (Perhaps before too, but Lenin really takes the cake.)

In front of the tomb are about the only evergreen trees you'll find in Moscow. (St Pete was mixed evergreen/deciduous, but still a lot more deciduous than you find in Seattle, even though it's much further north.)

I call these my "angelic" pictures because of the halo.
