Igor and Archie #1
Igor is Valeri/Kevin's brother. Artyur (Archie) is his bride's son ---
he's about to get hitched this weekend. Kevin asked me to come and take
pictures, because he hadn't seen his brother in four years. (Another
legacy of US immigration policy, which says if you leave you can't come
back, grr.) Archie is fond of Van Damme. Igor works as a security
guard or something like that, as do half the guys in Russia. He and his
family refuse to live in Moscow. They have a brand-new apartment within
walking distance of the elektrichka station. Igor tried to tell me his
family was big in town, connected with the mafia, but Muscovites tell me
that was just posturing.
