Liege #1

We went there in a most ingenious (and cheap) way. Again, it's described in my journal, which will be online some day.

This picture was taken in a bar across from the gare (=train station) in Liege. The bartender assumed we were both American tourists, and put on country (!) music for us. He didn't speak English or German, and we didn't speak French, so I had to wing it as much as I could and draw pictures on napkins. It was my first time being in a place where I didn't know the language.
