Dock walk

Jon and Bryan took me for a walk along the south side of the Thames, from Tower Bridge across Deptford, through a tunnel under the river to Greenwich. Somewhere along there we went onto a boat that was a floating bar.

Bryan asked what I wanted. I said lemonade. Then I remembered that lemonade doesn't really mean lemonade over there, so I followed him and said, "Wait, I mean with real lemons." He was totally confused. But Jonathan, who had been in the States for several years (in Iowa), figured it out. He said, "He means a hooch without the alcohol." (A hooch is a bottled drink mixed with lemon juice.) Is that the closest equivalent to lemonade in England?? Bryan went and talked with the bartender, and came back with a mixture of four different things, which was the closest they could get.
