Mike and my father

Facing us is my father, also Mike. His landlord had a penthouse suite, so we used to go up there to watch 4th of July. It's in the Eastlake neighborhood, where you can both the Elliot Bay and the Gasworks Park firework displays.

This is the last picture of my father before he died of metastatic cancer in November 1995. He cared for me deeply and believed in me, and I wish he could see how well my life is turning out now. Some day I will put up a tribute to him.
