Patriarch's Pond #1

Voil&agrage; Patriarch's Pond. (Patriarkhskie prudi, plural, although I saw only one pond.) On Malaya Bronnaya street, 15 minutes from the bustling Tverskaya metro. But here it's amazingly quiet --- definitely not New York!

Malaya Bronnaya street is where Dr Zhivago & Co lived in the 1910s in Pasternak's novel. It's also the location of the opening scene of Mikhail Bulgakov's satire novel The Master and Margarita about the devil coming to Moscow in the guise of a western magician.
