Beautiful church #1

This is the most beautiful church I've ever seen. Normally, icons are mostly inside, but this one had lots of icons outside. Surprisingly, this is not the famous St Isaac's cathedral, which now is covered with ugly black soot.

The guy on the left was somebody in the hostel from Berkeley.

Three canals cross the fashionable part of Nevsky Prospect between Moskovsky vokzal on the east and the Hermitage/Winter Palace on the west. Fontanki, the eastern one, is the biggest. Over it are statues of Peter with horses and a Radio Modern sign. (Another pop station is called Radio Baltika.)
